Casteñada White is one of three bottlings in our Casteñada Collection – wines made to celebrate our 1842 Adobe home and honor its first owner, Don Juan Casteñada. This vintage is a vibrant blend of Rhône varietals: grenache blanc, marsanne, roussanne, and viognier. We co-ferment and age this wine in concrete eggs and amphoras, in addition to a single Acacia barrel to accentuate the beautiful floral notes native to these aromatic varieties. The Casteñada White beams brightly on the nose and palate, with expressive notes of pineapple flower, lemon verbena, ginger, and lychee. You’re instantly transported to sunny days in Sonoma with every sip.
