The first of three bottlings, our Durell Vineyard Red Blend, is part of our Casteñada Collection wines made to celebrate our 1842 Adobe home and honor its first resident, Don Juan Casteñada. Grenache blanc, grenache noir, marsanne, syrah, and viognier lend themselves to this true field blend. While the syrah contributes to the meatiness on the palate and dark purple hue, the field blend of white Rhône varietals provides heady floral notes. Aromas of fragrant lavender, black tea, and powdered sugar-dusted Bundt cake are complemented by grippy tension – resulting in a truly gorgeous wine.
