Walala Vineyard, perched high in the northwestern part of Sonoma County, is our most isolated and extreme site. A few miles from Sonoma coastline and notoriously frigid Pacific Ocean, the vines hang comfortably above the fog line, taking in the few short hours of the afternoon sunshine. This vineyard consistently produces bold, linear, and age-worthy wines. This year's bottling bursts with notes of tart pomegranate and strawberry rhubarb with cardamom and bergamot. We get endlessly lost in the aromatics of this cool-climate pinot noir.
