2019 Cuvée Eva Marie Pinot Noir

2019 Cuvée Eva Marie Pinot Noir

Pinot noir thrives in high elevation, stretching towards the sun for warmth to ripen to perfection. Made from the best fruit and a premium selection of barrels, one of this wine’s hallmarks is its signature balance of earth, fruit, and spice. The 2019 vintage boasts sweet cherry, rose petal, and cedar aromas, while blackberry, cacao
nib, and sandalwood on the palate move to a silky finish that demands another sip. We believe this bottling honors its namesake perfectly, full of grace and natural beauty.

More Information
The growing season in 2019 was generally mild, leading to quality results. While there was record flooding of the Russian River and other local tributaries in February, the timing of the floods occurred during vine dormancy. That timing, plus the elevation of our vineyards, kept us in the clear. The weather was cool in August and September as the fruit matured, allowing us to pick without the pressure of heat waves or rain. Once the fruit was harvested, we captured the subtly and nuance as well as the intensity of flavor that comes with long maturation during those final cool months, resulting in superb quality that is certain to show itself with this “quiet” weather vintage.
